MARS HILL CHURCH 
Welcome to the Virtual Gospel Class, your first step in becoming a member of Mars Hill Church! 
Being a member of Mars Hill Church is really about being part of a family. More than attendance at meetings 
or exclusive access to a website, members who enter into a covenant with their local church are called to a 
higher degree of responsibility and service. At the same time, the elders and deacons are covenanted to 
assist members first and foremost, to love and lead, provide counsel and aid, as well as to pray for, teach, and 
guide. To transition from a regular attendee to an official member of Mars Hill, we require that you first 
complete the Gospel Class, which covers the essentials of the faith. Virtual Gospel Class 2.0 is designed for 
those who are unable to attend the Gospel classes on site, making it possible to become a member despite 
scheduling issues. 
Here«s how to begin Virtual Gospel Class. The steps to completing this class are: 
• Ensure receipt of the Gospel Class booklet and Questionnaire, and check accessibility of online audio/video 
at www.marshillchurch.org 
• Listen to the online audio or video of the Gospel Classes, available on the website. 
To view video or listen to audio: 
1. Log on to media.marshillchurch.org 
2. Click on ƒMenu˜ 
3. Click on ƒGospel Class˜ 
4. Select appropriate week 
5. The link for the video/audio will be on the lower frame near the bottom of the page 
• While listening to the audio, we desire you to follow along with your Gospel Class booklet and your Bible, and 
to take notes on a notepad in a distraction-free area. This is not the time to wash dishes or work on that 
overdue project! We ask that you spend the time giving the material your full attention as you would in-person. 
• Complete questions for each lesson from Questionnaire as one document (all lesson questions in one Word 
Document). At the end of your class, you will email your summaries to samson@marshillchurch.org attn: 
Virtual Class Completed. 
• WAIT for the green light from me to finalize the process. Once your Questionnaire has been reviewed, I will 
contact you and instruct you how to proceed. 
It«s also important to get connected with a Community Group and begin serving as you are able, as 
relationship and stewardship are key components of being a member. Your final interview will be conducted 
by your Ministry team leader or Community Group Leader. For a listing of Community Groups, email 
community@marshillchurch.org or stop by the Community Group desk before or after a Sunday service. For 
information on serving, email connect@marshillchurch.org. By the time you have finished Virtual Gospel Class 
2.0, you should be actively serving at Mars Hill Church, plugged into a Community Group.
